Hearing Tests

Dear Parents,
We are pleased to announce to parents that we are providing “Hearing Screening” services. The hearing test is scheduled for September 24th (Tuesday).
This hearing screening will be conducted by Emma, a Clinical Audiologist with a Bachelor’s in Speech and Hearing Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Audiology from Macquarie University.
Hearing Screening for children of all ages: $40. Full hearing assessment for children over the age of 4 years: $80.
This is recommended as part of the “Ready for School” program. The full assessment evaluates the function of the outer, middle, and inner ear.
Preschool children primarily learn and communicate through hearing, as they pick up language and information by listening. Good hearing is essential for their speech, learning, and social growth. Even slight hearing problems can affect them during this important developmental stage. It is advisable to have annual hearing screenings until children reach the age of 7, because their hearing abilities continue to evolve.
