Turramurra Kindergarten had our very first excursion today to the opera house! Although it rained heavily all morning, I was initially worried about going. However, after checking the forecast and Miss PohWee’s decision to go ahead, we set off on our adventure. We were lucky that, by the time we arrived, the rain had stopped for a while. This allowed us to visit the Opera House and enjoy our morning tea with a stunning view!
The main focus of our trip was introducing the children to the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. However, the most delightful part was seeing how much the children enjoyed the experience. They were learning through real-life encounters, and it was wonderful to watch. I particularly appreciated how Miss Jin and Miss Saloni explained the process of building a structure, which we hope will inspire the children to think about planning, discussion, and problem-solving.
Overall, we had a wonderful time on this excursion. Please feel free to share any suggestions for future excursion locations or provide us with feedback. Thank you!
